Center for Democracy and Technology
The Center for Democracy and Technology works to promote democratic values and constitutional liberties in the digital age. With expertise in law, technology, and policy, CDT seeks practical solutions to enhance free expression and privacy in global communications technologies. CDT is dedicated to building consensus among all parties interested in the future of the Internet and other new communications media.

HTCIA (High Technology Crime Investigation Association)
An international organization, the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA) is designed to encourage, promote, aid and effect the voluntary interchange of data, information, experience, ideas and knowledge about methods, processes, and techniques relating to investigations and security in advanced technologies among its membership.

Justice Technology Information Network (JUSTNET)
The National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center (NLECTC) system's regional centers and specialty offices work directly with Federal, State, and local government agencies; community leaders; and scientists to foster technological innovations that result in new products, services, systems, and strategies for the Nation's criminal justice professionals.

The National Cybercrime Training Partnership (NCTP)
Leads the Training Community in developing a new paradigm for training Law Enforcement in electronic and high technology Crime. NCTP offers training video tapes for police as well as Data Recovery and Analysis courses.

United States Department of Homeland Security
The Department of Homeland Security is responsible for evaluating vulnerabilities and coordinating efforts with state, local and government agencies. There is contact information if you need to reach them with information or questions.

United States Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Forces (USSS ECTF)
The Secret Service's ECTF and Electronic Crimes Working Group initiatives prioritize investigative cases that involve electronic crimes. These initiatives provide necessary support and resources to field investigations.
